Study: Cancer Patients Want Input in Care Plans

In a recent study, it was found that patients who allow their physicians to make all decisions related to their care feel less satisfied with their care than those who actively participated in planning.

Following a cancer diagnosis, it is normal for patients to feel overwhelmed by the information and choices presented to them, but this study provides evidence that giving input on your care plan can not only help you to make an informed decision, but also feel more comfortable with the cancer care experience.

At CyberKnife Center of Chicago, our physicians and staff work with patients and their families to ensure all treatment options are reviewed and encourage them to ultimately choose the procedure that is best for their diagnosis and lifestyle.

If you’re considering CyberKnife® or preparing to undergo treatment, view our blog post for more information on how to prepare.
