Dr. Neil Das Gupta is a board-certified radiation oncologist with long-term experience in a variety of radiation therapy treatments.
Dr. Das Gupta earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He previously worked in private practice in Rockford, IL where he was instrumental in the creation of the first radiation oncology program offering intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and image guided radiation therapy (IGRT) in northern Illinois. He was also responsible for establishing a stereotactic radiosurgery program in the region. He serves as the medical director of radiation oncology for the Edward Cancer Center and Elmhurst Memorial Center for Cancer Care.
He has participated in a number of national clinical trials in both the Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB) and Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG), and has served as the on-site principal investigator for a number of these trials.
A member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, Dr. Das Gupta also previously served as the cancer center liaison to the American Cancer Society. He practices at Fox Valley Radiation Oncology.
